Leeton Medical Practice is a modern purposed designed clinic, built in 2012 in the central business district in Leeton, View map giving easy access to patients.

We are committed to striving for continued excellence in the delivery of medical services, and in doing so, aim to establish and maintain close and long standing relationships with our patients and service providers.

The Leeton Medical Practice principal Dr Dan Pettersson has extensive experience in rural general practice, hospital medicine and surgery.

A full time manager, Nicky Jardine, and receptionist Bronwyn Garvie ensure the smooth running of the computerised appointment system, accounts typing and administrative functions.

Highly experienced nursing staff assist in patient care in areas such as dressings, immunisations, spirometry, ECG’s and Health assessments. This support allows the doctor to focus on medical care and allows the clinic to run in an extremely efficient manner.

Leeton Medical Practice holds full accreditation with Australian General Practice Accreditation Limited ( AGPAL), the University of New South Wales, and also the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners as an academic teaching practice.

Both of our doctors provide after hours emergency care on a rostered basis at the Leeton Hospital.

Dr Dan Pettersson

MB ChB, FRACGP

Dr Dan Pettersson has been a local doctor in Leeton for 12 years. After graduating from Sheffield in the United Kingdom in 1993 and moved to Australia in 1995 where he worked as a rural Doctor in Queensland before moving to Leeton in 2002. He is passionate about quality family and rural practice, and also offers a general surgical service to the town and surrounding areas at Leeton hospital. This includes support of the obstetric service providing Cesarean sections when required.
