Dr Dan Pettersson

Dr. Dan Pettersson is an experienced local doctor who has been a cornerstone of the Leeton community for over 22 years. After earning his medical degree from the prestigious University of Sheffield in the UK in 1993, he embarked on an journey that brought him to Australia in 1995. There, he embraced the challenges of rural and remote medicine in Queensland gaining fellowships from both the Royal Australian College of General Practice and the Australian college of Rural and Remote Medicine before settling in Leeton in 2002.
Dr. Pettersson is deeply passionate about delivering high-quality family and rural healthcare, ensuring every patient receives the attention and care they deserve. In addition to his general practice, he provided essential general surgical services at Leeton Hospital for many years and now also works as a Consultant Emergency Physician for Goulburn Valley Health, playing a vital role in the community’s health. His expertise extends to the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancers, as well as GP Registrar training and has been a senior examiner for the RACGP. With compassionate care and a wealth of experience, Dr. Pettersson is committed to improving the health outcomes for the people of Leeton and surrounding areas.

Meet Dr. Alex Battistini, a dynamic general practitioner registrar with a rich tapestry of experience in the medical field. He earned his medical degree in the vibrant landscapes of Peru back in 2002 and is currently honing his skills in the RACGP training program. With a solid background in critical care medicine, Dr. Battistini brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his practice.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, he connects with a diverse range of patients, ensuring they feel understood and cared for. Outside of his medical pursuits, Dr. Battistini is passionate about cooking up delicious meals, hitting the gym for invigorating workouts, and exploring new destinations around the globe. His multifaceted interests make him not just a dedicated physician but also a well-rounded individual who embraces life to the fullest!
