Dr Dan Pettersson

Dr. Dan Pettersson is an experienced local doctor who has been a cornerstone of the Leeton community for over 22 years. After earning his medical degree from the prestigious University of Sheffield in the UK in 1993, he embarked on an journey that brought him to Australia in 1995. There, he embraced the challenges of rural and remote medicine in Queensland gaining fellowships from both the Royal Australian College of General Practice and the Australian college of Rural and Remote Medicine before settling in Leeton in 2002.

Dr. Pettersson is deeply passionate about delivering high-quality family and rural healthcare, ensuring every patient receives the attention and care they deserve. In addition to his general practice, he provided essential general surgical services at Leeton Hospital for many years and now also works as a Consultant Emergency Physician for Goulburn Valley Health, playing a vital role in the community’s health. His expertise extends to the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancers, as well as GP Registrar training and has been a senior examiner for the RACGP.  With compassionate care and a wealth of experience, Dr. Pettersson is committed to improving the health outcomes for the people of Leeton and surrounding areas.
